There has hitherto been some jealousy as to interference by the Government with the stowage of imported Gunpowder, but the recent accident will enable the Executive to carry Public opinion with them in effecting better Legislation in a matter too long insufficiently cared for.
In hauling, I fear the catastrophe to the estate and thus good may be eventually extracted from the recent disaster.
